Heer (Army) M35 Double Decal (DD) Quist (Q)

 An M35 Double Decal (DD) Quist (Q)  early World War II German combat helmet produced by the F.W. Quist, G.m.b.H. factory in Esslingen. These helmets, introduced in 1935, are characterized by their rolled edges, separate ventilation grommets, and, in their early, pre-war to early-war form, two insignia decals (usually Heer/Army or Luftwaffe). 

Key Features and Characteristics:

Manufacturer Mark: The shell is stamped with a Q64 (Quist) 

Decals: "Double Decal" means the helmet features both the national tri-color shield (red, white, black) on the right side and the branch of service emblem (Heer eagle, Luftwaffe eagle, or Polizei) on the left.

Paint: Often found in the original, smooth "apple green" or early field-grey paint, though many were re-issued later in the war with rougher, textured paint.

Liner: Early M35 helmets typically featured reinforced aluminum liner bands and leather liners.

Heer (Army) DD: Feature the silver-grey Heer eagle and the national tri-color.

Background:

Found this one through blocket. The seller I bought it from had in his place bought it in the 1990s from a friend whom was about to join the foreign legion that person had picked it up in Finland, no other information was provided.

Heer, KM buckle and M40 SD army helmet

Got som very nice new items. First off is a German M40 single decal helmet in pretty nice condition. the helmet came with two belts and buckles. The first one is a steel army buckle and the second one is a very very nice Kriegsmarine beltbuckle with KM marked tab complete with belt and all.

The seller had a pretty interesting story apparently his father in law collected these from a abandoned German "ghost" ship floating in by the Swedish cost during the war. They feared that it was booby trapped when they boarded but it went well. These items where collected aboard.

Då var det dags för några nya objekt . Först ut är en tysk M40 enkel dekal hjälm i relativt bra skick . Hjälmen kom med bälten. Det första är en arme bälte i stål den andra är en mycket trevligt Kriegsmarine bälte komplett med tabb och KM märkning.

Säljaren hade en ganska intressant historia,  "Under kriget drev ett fartyg utanför Karlskrona utan besättning.Min svärfar som jobbade med vapen var den förste att borda det tyska fartyget.Ingen visste om det var minerat.Men som tur var gick det bra.Denna hjälm och skärp kommer därifrån.För övrigt vet vi inget mer om fartyget"

Red Cross Hewer & M40 SD Luftwaffe helmet

Some nice items picked up during the last two weeks all out of the "woodwork"
First off is a very nice single decal Luftwaffe helmet with a nice deep yellow decal. Totaly untouched and in very nice condition. There is a small dedication written in the liner "To ralph with my very best wishes 5/5 1945 as ever your friend Kalle"

Second item is a DRK hewer "Deutsches Rotes Kreuz" (German Red Cross). In pretty decent condition some plating loss but overall a nice historic piece not to often encountered here in Sweden. Blade is in nice condition with its "Ges. Gesch.", indicating, Gesetzlich Geschützt (Protected by Law). It still has its original leather hanger thats marked jkh 41

Lite nya saker upplockade under de senaste veckorna.
Först har vi en Flygvapen hjälm av modell 40 med en fin gul dekal. Hjälmen ser ut att var helt orörd och i mycket bra skick. Det finns en liten dedikation skriven i lädret på hjälmen "To ralph with my very best wishes 5/5 1945 as ever your friend Kalle"

Andra föremålet är en DRK huggare "Deutsches Rotes Kreuz" (Tyska röda korset). Okey skick med viss pläterings lyftning. Bladet är i fint skick med Ges. Gesch märkning, "Skyddad av lagen". Huggaren har fortfarande kvar sitt läder hänge som är märkt JHK 41.

Got this very interesting collection of items this week. The items was bought back from Germany to Sweden in 1949 and has since been in the same family.

M18 - Finnish issued helmet

Finnish issued M18 helmet with a Finnish paint job and possibly a depo repaired liner and linerband.

Sellers story is that he bought this helmet 10 years ago from the son of a WW2 vet who fought on the Finnish front
